Burning - Black Light Reactive Art
“Burning” – Black Light Reactive Art
“Burning” gives form to the unseen — an original 30” x 30” blacklight-reactive mixed media painting , created to raise awareness of the invisible symptom of burning under the skin experienced by many living with Lyme disease.
Built through layers of iridescent pigment, texture, and UV-reactive materials, “Burning” pulses with internal light. Under natural illumination, its fiery oranges, deep crimsons, and smoldering shadows evoke a slow, internal flame — pain made abstract. When exposed to ultraviolet or blacklight, the work ignites with fierce luminescence, transforming invisible suffering into visible energy.
The piece is not only a reflection of pain but also of endurance — the body as a vessel of fire that refuses to extinguish.
“Burning” stands as both testimony and transformation — a glowing reminder that what cannot be seen still burns with truth, strength, and light.
(Note: Colors and glow effects vary depending on lighting conditions.)
Medium: Mixed media on canvas
Size: 30 × 30 inches
Features: UV-reactive, color-shifting pigments
Signed: Original, one-of-a-kind artwork
Certificate of authenticity included
Unframed
