Liminal Art - Needlism

Needlism is a series of sculptures that transform the invisible experience of pain into tangible form. Composed of thousands of pins, needles, push pins, and glass beads, each piece evokes a liminal space between vulnerability and strength, discomfort and beauty. The works navigate the in-between worlds of the body and the self, making visible the unseen symptoms of chronic illness while inviting viewers into a contemplative, immersive experience. Through texture, repetition, and scale, Needlism captures the threshold between sensation and perception, offering a profound meditation on endurance, fragility, and resilience.
