ART Through the Lens of Chronic Illness

ART isn’t always meant to please - sometimes, it’s meant to provoke! In a world that often values aesthetics over meaning, I use my art as a powerful tool of expression.

As a visual artist, I find inspiration in the beauty and resilience of the human spirit, especially during times of adversity. May is a particularly poignant month for me, as it marks the awareness campaigns for both Lyme disease and Lupus.

“Sous Ma Peau” c’est une nouvelle exposition d’art engagé, cette fois-ci, il s’agit d’un projet d’art public, réalisé dans le cadre de Sentier Des Arts, un projet organisé par le Centre Multiculturel Guy Dupré, de la ville La Prairie.

"Chronicles of Lyme: Portraits of Resilience" is an ongoing LymeArt project that I worked on throughout the years. I still do. As both artists and subject, I delve into the intricate tapestry of human experience, weaving together the threads of perseverance and strength in the face of adversity.

Raise awareness through art! Meet the Lyme Odyssey, one of my acrylic works that I am really fond of! I poured my heart and soul into this painting. It has been a real cathartic experience to transfer into the canvas my Lyme journey.

ART THERAPY HELPS ME? Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that one day I’d call myself a painter or an artist. I never thought I would be able to draw or paint.
